They had just spent several hours watching well-bred young men beat each other senseless in the boxing ring.
Even at 4.30am, however, Pippa Middleton and Alex Loudon were still in romantic mood.
The couple shared a lingering kiss yesterday as they waited for a cab outside a London hotel where they had attended the Boodles Boxing Ball charity event.
Pippa gazed tenderly into her boyfriend’s eyes before the lateness of the hour caught up with her and she failed to stifle a yawn.
The couple’s body language dispelled any remaining suspicions that they had drifted apart following 28-year-old Pippa’s show-stealing appearance at the royal wedding in April, when her pert derriere won world-wide admiration.
Mr Loudon, 31, a former cricketer who played for England in a one-day international against Sri Lanka in 2006, is now a financier.
He and Pippa, younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, have been dating for more than three years.
For Saturday night’s event at the Park Plaza Hotel, she wore a striking red gown with plunging neckline and gold high heels with matching clutch purse. 
Also attending the ball, which cost £1,950 per table of ten, were Geri Halliwell, Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy and his brother William’s old flames Jecca Craig, Olivia Hunt and Isabella Anstruther- Gough-Calthorpe.
There was no sign of the princes, but their cousin Princess Beatrice made an appearance in a floral gown.

 

The Mail understands that Miss Davy is now dating Jamie Richards, the 29-year-old son of Aston Martin boss David Richards.

A well-placed source said the pair have enjoyed numerous romantic dinners and a cruise along the Thames over the past two months.
‘Although it is early days, they are very comfortable with each other and Jamie is proving to be a welcome distraction from her break-up from Harry,’ the source said.
‘Jamie is confident, rich and loves rugby – just the sort of guy Chelsy goes for.

‘They have told their close friends about each other, but are cautious about appearing at official events together yet.’
Jamie’s father, who was made a CBE in the 2005 New Year Honours list for his services to motorsport, is former head of the BAR and Benetton Formula One motor racing teams.

Elizabeth Taylor was always an inspiration and a trend setter.
She dispensed her worldly wisdom on her Twitter page (which included gems like 'Every breath you take today should be with someone else in mind') and earned an estimated $200,000 a year just from people who wanted to smell like her and bought her perfumes.
So it is no surprise that people want to imitate the actress even after she has passed away.

Taylor's 300-piece jewellery collection is expected to fetch millions when mega-fans snap up memorabilia at the auction in December.
But seeing them on display in London's Christie's has persuaded jewellery-lovers to buy much cheaper - but equally sparkly - imitations.

So it is perhaps no wonder that sales of the ring have increased by 157 per cent.

Also in the Christie's auction is Taylor's Van Cleef ruby and diamond ring, estimated to sell for around £1 million.
By Brilliant’s version, the white gold Ruby Oval Microset ring, set in 9K yellow gold and featuring a large red jewel like Taylor’s, is on sale for just £340.
Sales of the cut price sparkler have increased by 110 per cent over the past week.
Only professional gemologists with specialist equipment would be able to tell the difference between the machine-made stones and natural diamonds, so the jewels are perfect for those looking to follow Taylor's bling trend without breaking the bank.

Fans of the star's Emerald Suite, which the actress started collection when she was filming Cleopatra in Rome, can buy a similar - but dramatically cheaper - ring or earrings.
Sales of by Brilliant's green jewellery has almost doubled since people were reminded of Taylor's obsession with the colour.
There are obviously even cheaper versions of the rings available. And more cut price versions are bound to crop up - just like the imitations of Kate Middleton's engagement ring which flooded the market soon after her engagement.
But while we're not sure Taylor would have approved of the lab created stones, we're also pretty convinced she sure would have been able to spot a big difference in quality.

Jennifer Garner shows off her growing baby bump

She and husband Ben Affleck announced they were expecting their third child just over a couple of months ago.
And it seems Jennifer Garner's baby bump is blossoming fast.
The 39-year-old actress showed off her growing tummy in a white T-shirt and bright red cardigan as she picked up her daughter Violet from karate class this afternoon in Los Angeles.

A short denim skirt and flat black ballet pumps completed the look.
The hands on mother smiled broadly as she walked with her five-year-old who skipped alongside her happily.

 

At one point, the little girl even kept her mother amused by demonstrating a few martial arts moves.

However, there was no sign of the actress's other daughter, two-year-old Seraphina today.
Earlier Garner had stepped out for a coffee at the Brentwood Country Mart in California, where she strolled along chatting on her phone.
The star, who is thought to be around five or six months pregnant, recently told Ellen DeGeneres that she wouldn't mind having a third daughter as she grew up in a household of three girls.

'It would be so weird to have a boy,' she said, before adding that it would also be 'cool' and 'different.'
The lone man of the household, husband of six years Ben, is also currently hard at work filming Argo in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Olivia Wilde, co-star in the actress's forthcoming film Butter, said Garner should 'keep breeding.'
'She makes pretty babies,' Wilde raved to Us Weekly this week, before adding, 'She was such an awesome co-star and a wonderful producer.'

Both actresses appear in the upcoming film about a young orphan who discovers an odd talent for creating butter sculptures in the Iowa town where her adoptive family lives.

Ashley Greene, Alicia Silverstone and Hugh Jackman also appear in the ensemble comedy, which hits American theatres October 21.

Elizabeth Hurley is not a woman to step out of her house looking any less than her immaculate self.
And it seems that's an attribute she's passed down to her nine-year-old son Damien.
The pair were perfect in pink as they showed up to turn the lights on at Selfridges for Breast Caner Awareness.

Looking composed next to his model mother, Damien smiled for the cameras, smart in a jacket and pink striped shirt.
Like his mother, he wore a breast cancer awareness pin, perfectly placed on one of his navy lapels.
Hurley was at the department store to help launch the Estée Lauder Pink Ribbon Collection, which will raise money for breast cancer awareness, and to turn on the matching coloured lights.

As the cosmetic company's Breast Cancer Awareness ambassador, she wanted to make sure she was looking her absolute best which also included making sure her pin - which was shaped in the famous pink ribbon breast cancer symbol - was on straight.

She took to her Twitter page afterwards and wrote 'Had a great time at Selfridges. Wrist aches from a lot of signing. Met some brave cancer survivors who were supporting the cause. Humbling.'
And it proved to be a busy day for her as she was back at the store this evening to turn the store pink to launch the campaign and was accompanied by her son Damian, nine, who wore a pink shirt for the occasion.

It is a cause close to her heart as she lost her grandmother to the disease, and today she said: 'Every year, we light more than 200 landmark buildings pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Speaking to Vogue.com, she added: 'I've just arrived from New York where I helped launched a fabulous new awareness campaign called Shine a Light on Breast Cancer which launches next week.
'Today it's London, next week Edinburgh and then on to Moscow and back to New York.'
