Les Paul Google doodle gets permanent webpage

The June 9 Google doodle - http://www.google.com/

Following the popularity of Google's June 9 interactive guitar doodle, the software company has announced that the homage to Les Paul will have its own, permanent, web page.
Google doodles, pictures displayed instead of the Google logo, are regularly uploaded by the company to the Google home page for a 24-hour period in honor of historical events.
On June 9 th the software company uploaded a doodle of a guitar to mark what would have been musician and inventor Les Paul's 96th birthday. The doodle was both playable and recordable and internet users quickly began sharing their musical creations via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social networking sites.

The logo was so popular that the company initially decided to keep it online for an extra 24 hours in the United States after June 9; however, such is the demand for the doodle that it now has its own permanent web page.
Internet users can create, record and share tunes using the Google guitar doodle at http://www.google.com/logos/2011/lespaul.html
