Artist Elise Victoria Louise Windsor is an artist from Toronto, Ontario. Her illusion portraits, like this one, combine origami and photography. The 2011 art school graduate won this year’s UNTAPPED Emerging Photographers Competition and she is included in the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition.
According to the artist's bio, her work "focuses on the use of illusions created by fantasy, mystery and the duplication of reality."
This work is based on elements the artist found in older homes in Toronto.
Per the artist, the images highlight the 2-dimensionality of photography.
The combination of photography and scupture results in some fascinating images.
The photographs allow the viewer to see normal household fixtures in a new way.
In this series, the artist experimented with mirrors.
