*SPOILER ALERT* Shock return for Batman character

A star from ‘Batman Begins’ is reportedly set to make a shock return in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, Christopher Nolan’s next Batman film.

Liam Neeson was allegedly spotted filming scenes as villain Ra's Al Ghul on the London set for the upcoming blockbuster, due to be released in the summer of 2012.

Fans of the films will remember Ra's Al Ghul from ‘Batman Begins’ as Bruce Wayne’s mentor whilst becoming the caped crusader. However, it soon turned out that Neeson’s character was not to be trusted. Batman refused to save Ra's Al Ghul from a doomed monorail train and was assumed to be dead.

Apparently not.

If reports are true, then ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ will feature a surprise appearance from the character.

Neeson would be joining returning cast members Christian Bale, Michael Caine Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman. Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are also set to feature in the film.
