What a way to cap off Canada Day!
Prince William and his bride, Duchess Kate Middleton, celebrated the end of Friday's Canada Day festivities with a dazzling fireworks display and concert of Canadian music at Ottawa's Parliament Hill.
Clad in a long-sleeved purple Issa dress, Middleton, 29, joined her hubby, also 29, to take in about 30 minutes of the evening concert, held to commemorate the nation's 144th birthday.
Having spent the majority of Friday outside touring the area and interacting with fans, William was thankful for the evening's cooler temperatures. An eyewitness at Friday's festivities tells Us Weekly the royal quipped to his wife that he was just "happy we're not in the sun again."
The newlyweds had better rest up for Saturday's packed itinerary, which includes a tree-planting ceremony at Ottawa's Rideau Hall, a meet-and-greet with patients at the Sainte-Justine University Hospital Centre and a visit to a cooking workshop.
