And Dancing With The Stars contestant Hope Solo is showing off the amazing physique her sport has gifted her on a new magazine cover.
The 30-year-old U.S national team player looked every inch the athlete as she posed completely nude for the ESPN sports periodical's body issue.
Her extremely defined abdominal muscles were on show for all to see in the both racy and sporty snap.
No doubt Hope's athletic background is helping her as she fights her way through this year's celebrity ballroom dancing extravaganza.
She narrowly escaped the boot this week when she finished in the bottom two in elimination alongside The Hills star Kristin Cavallari, who was sent home.
For the first time in her career the result did not reflect her performance, as she got the third highest score of the week with 24, although she was tied with three other contestants.
Head
judge Len Goodman was fuming last night, as he believed the duo were
among the better performers on the show and should not have faced the
chop.
He said: 'This is truly crazy. My expectation was these two competitors would be fighting it out for the final with one of them going home with the mirror ball.
'This is week three and one of these is going home, it's just madness.'
Even if she had gone though, Hope is used to dealing with disappointment when it comes to competition.
She had been the best goalkeeper at this year's women's World Cup, but despite her Golden Glove heroics, the U.S still crashed to an embarrassing finals defeat to underdogs Japan.
Going into the final they had never lost to the side, with 22 wins and 3 draws.
However despite taking the lead twice, they ended up tied at the end of normal and extra time, and Hope could not prevent the Japanese brushing them aside with a clinical 3-1 win on penalties.
