She may not have been wearing a typically glamorous red carpet gown, but Julianne Hough still looked the picture of chic sophistication tonight.
The 23-year-old dancer and actress was stunning in her tuxedo mini dress as she arrived at a special screening of her new movie Footloose in New York.
Teamed with just the right amount of makeup and matching black heels and clutch, the star's striking outfit showed off her slim legs to the maximum.
Julianne plays Ariel Moore, the thrill seeking preacher's daughter in the remake of the original 1984 movie which starred Kevin Bacon as leading man Ren McCormack.
Actor Kenny Wormald joined the actress at the premiere in a grey suit and tie.
He plays Ren in the updated version which is released in the U.S. on October 14.

Julianne looked happy and relaxed throughout tonight's event, and happily signed autographs for fans.
She has been forced to defend criticism of the decision to remake the film, which has become a cult classic.
'I completely get where they’re coming from,' she told the Washington Post.  'It’s not just a remake; it’s a remake of an iconic movie. A lot of people hold it dear to their hearts.'

She added: 'Why remake Footloose? I like what our director Craig Brewer says: "When you’re in theatre, you do a lot of plays that have been around for a long time. But you don’t call them remakes; you call them revivals.” I think that’s what we’re doing with our version.'
And the star has been busy promoting the new film, last night returning to her old stomping ground Dancing With The Stars where she found fame.
