Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's Style Transformation
By Sarah Bernard, Host of The Thread: Historically, when supermodels have taken their talents to the big screen the results have been mixed. Cameron Diaz has done quite well and so has Brooke "nothing-comes-between-me-and-my-Calvins" Shields. But does anyone remember Cindy Crawford in "Fair Game"? The latest catwalk vet to attempt the crossover is pillow-lipped Victoria’s Secret Angel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who dates hunky Brit Jason Statham. Rosie was chosen to replace Megan Fox in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” and if her performance is even half as fierce as the looks she’s thrown on red carpets all over the globe, we think she’ll do ok. Here’s a gallery of Rosie promoting “Transformers” like a pro.
Rosie in Burberry: How's that for a pose? And how many actresses could feel that confident in a backless silk number with a deep plunging V-neck? Rosie has been the face of Burberry for years so it's only fitting that she wore the label to the "Transformers 3" UK premiere.
Rosie in Michael Kors: Doesn't she look straight out of "Charlie's Angels" here? Rosie wore this beaded halter bodysuit to a Letterman taping in New York.
Rosie in Naeem Khan: She can't wear it to the Oscars now, but this gown sure would have made a good pick. Her side-parted waves add the perfect amount of glam to the silver sequins. Love her black nail polish!
Rosie in Gucci: There's a lot going on with this gown— unusual color, asymmetrical cut, giant flower, see-through skirt— but leave it to a professional to make it work. At the "Transformers 3" Moscow premiere, Rosie kept her hair sleek and her accessories minimal.
Rosie in Michael Kors: At a photocall in Moscow, Rosie went with high-impact color and a lot of leg. Clearly she could have worn something that better showcased her figure. We love the fact that she went for loose and drapey instead.
Rosie in Dolce & Gabbana: Rosie went all black for a chat with Jimmy Fallon. We love her foxy black vest (the back was made of lace) but really, her Jimmy Choos make the outfit.
Rosie in Stella McCartney: Again, Rosie made the elegant, high-fashion choice at the Glamour magazine Women of the Year Awards with this beige silk gown. We know she could work something skimpier but she consistently makes interesting choices that don't scream, "I look amazing in lingerie!" even though we know she does.
Rosie in Dolce & Gabbana: At the MTV Movie Awards, Rosie made an animal print look elegant with her soft, half-up hairstyle and t-strap Sergio Rossi wedges.
Rosie in The Row: She does love a V-neck. Rosie stocked up on the double-sided tape for a night out at Spike TV's "Guys Choice" Awards. Her bright red lips are the perfect punctuation.
Rosie in Max Mara: Guess who came in at number one on Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list? At the party to celebrate Rosie wore this white cut-out cocktail dress that would cut the rest of us off at the love handles! But she wouldn't know about that. Her metal-heeled Sergio Rossi sandals added some polish.
