Iconic movie house goes up for sale

Having featured in a number of iconic Hollywood movies such as the John Carpenter classic, 'Halloween', and the Steve Martin film 'Father of the Bride' this iconic house is now available for someone to set up the perfect home: available for a snip at £800,000.

And it's not just 'Halloween' and 'Father of the Bride' that the property featured in: more than 50 movies shot scenes there, including Jim Carrey comedy 'Liar, Liar', Ashton Kutcher's 'Guess Who', and 'Herbie: Fully Loaded'.

Located in Alhambra, a Los Angeles County suburb, the property sprawls across 4,397 square feet; but that's just a tiny proportion of the land you get. The total area spans 17,481 square feet and includes an arbour built specifically for 'Father of the Bride'.

Inside the traditional colonial home there are a whopping five bedrooms, four bathrooms, three fireplaces, a three-car garage, a laundry room and a solarium. It's hard to see how George got so stressed in a house like this.
